There were so many great moments today! Winston, our driver, took us around to 6 different wineries in the Amador region. It was a blast! This one, Bray Vineyards, was by far the best. They had good wine, Dick-the wine pourer was soooo friendly, and it was such a playful atmosphere!

Shopping in the rain is always interesting. Joseph and I made a day of it though, and it was actually pretty fun. I found a bazillion cute dresses, but my budget only allowed for a couple. Boo.

The day was great, but it ended up kind of weirdly because I had to climb through the passenger door to get in my car. Some A-hole thought it would be smart to park their Lexus all up in my spot. I literally had like, 6 inches between the cars, as you can see from the pic!

I love days when there are events. Even if it runs me ragged, and I have to drive a few hours-I love them. Events ensure that I'll get to see friends, and I live for that!

Today we had 2 San Francisco events back-to-back! Pammy's 31st b-day at The Brixton, and a Giants game with Katie and Kev. The brunch was a blast and I got to see 56% of the Besties!

I had quite a few great pics from the game, but this one just cracks me up! This is a picture of the actual picture that's why the quality sucks. We also saw some old Chico homies and a couple of my work friends-GREAT DAY!

Today we set up a family work day at school. We decided that since we spend anywhere from 10-14 hour days in our classrooms everyday, we wanted to spruce them up a bit! We had 7 families come and pitch in, and the classrooms look so much more welcoming and bright! YAY us!

STICKING TO THE DIET!

The Game-on diet has ruled my days for the past 3 weeks. I'm sad that it's gonna be over, but I now know exactly what to do to get, and keep, the weight off!!!

I love this salad as it has my protein, fat, carb, veggie serving and 70 extra calories all in one!

NBA Draft Day!

As we all know, the Kings leave a lot to be desired as a professional basketball team; but we still love 'em! They set up 7 different draft party locations all over Sac, and one just happened to be right down the street! We got to watch the draft, listen to Grant Napier (sp?) do a live broadcast, and see Tyreke! I even high fived him as he walked by!!! YES!

Days that are game days go soooooooo slow! I feel like the minutes take hours.....we got to see the Giants play the Twins-AND WIN!

Tonight seemed to be a really special night for people in the park. Between the loud and rowdy drunkees up behind us, the hyphy hot chocolate vendor, and peanut throwing dude, nicest guy EVER was sitting in front of us. He offered his friends endless amounts of food, sparked tons of conversations, and enjoyed every second of the game. Not to mention he had the AWESOMEST old school radio to listen to the game!!! Love AT&T Park!!!

I was looking through our cupboards and found these bouquets from Christmas time. They were my "audition" bouquets for inbar, but really I just enjoy making something pretty out of leftover ribbon scraps.

They also remind me of Gramms, and our 2010 X'mas, which was really fun!

1st OFFICIAL DAY OF SUMMER!

So, what do we decide to do? Go to the pool-duh! K10 came over for a while, and we definitely had a sausage fest at our pool. These twpo Jersey Shore dudes were the highlight of my pool day! Definitely in the running for "Mr. Tannest in Sac".

Father's Day 6/18/2011

My dad loves 1/2 Moon Bay. He loves the little shops, he loves the Main Street Cafe, he loves the salt water taffy, he loves Mavericks, he loves the BR there, he loves the fish n' chips. So, that's what we did! After breakfast, we spent the day beach hopping, then ended at an awesome restaurant right on the water. one of our stops was the Pigeon Point Lighthouse where Joseph and I got creative with our photography skills!

This is amber and her mom in front of the limo, before we headed out to SF!!!

Amber's friends did a fantastic job and everyone had so much fun! There were plenty of "manly" shaped food and accessories, a limo, wine bar, dance club; a small few even did the Hora at the wine bar! Between the loud music, wine, and pretzels everywhere in the limo-the night was about exactly what it should be-celebrating Amber!

I spent most of today in a meeting @ work, doing data, then in bootcamp. However, I took time tonight to do something I thoroughly enjoy-CRAFTY THINGS! I made 2 new pairs of earrings, 11 CD covers for Amber's bachelorette party, and one of my all time favorite things to do-wrapping a gift!!! Wonder who it's for???

At 7:46 PM on Wednesday night I got a text from K10.

It read: "I just saw her tour bus brigade turn into Powerbalance and it made me wanna go! So if u get tix get me one. :)"

That was all the "arm twistin" I needed. Checked Groupon, checked StubHub, checked Craigslist...turns out the best way to go was to get myself across the street to the good old box office. By 1 PM the day of the concert we had ourselves 2 tickets to the show!

she was H.O.T, and danced more than she did on the last tour. I am pretty sure she even truly sang some of her songs (GASP!).

Now, my Britney tour streak has not been broken-I've seen them ALL!

I had always thought Bunco sounded sort of dorky. I am totally okay with being wrong-I WAS WRONG!!! It was sooo much fun! Tonight was a big night: not only did we have a spectacular BBQ planned for some local friends and some Chico ones too, PANDA was coming back tonight! As the camera flashed across the crowd, it focused in on this sign-and i just loved it! It demonstrates how much adversity we have been through this year and celebrates Panda's return in a fun way! Good job chick on TV!

Mels Diner has always been a family favorite! Whether it's the one in Auburn on the way home from a Tahoe trip, or the one on Van Ness on a family city outing...we always seem to end up at Mels if dad's in tow. When we moved to Sac, there just happened to be one right across the street. ALWAYS play 1-2 songs while I'm there, and one is ALWAYS "Up On The Roof" by the Drifters. I just love them! (It's #6172)

BRIE GRADUATES!!!

We all know what a huge accomplishment it is to graduate college. Brie has been working sooo hard, especially these last few years. I admire her commitment and perseverance when it came to achieving this goal! Everyone went to her grad party, including our long lost Brianne and Brad!!! The Besties continued celebrating by holding a quick board meeting at Tiki Moms, then headed to Pyramid for some more QT! It was an extremely pleasant day!

The wedding was finally HERE!

Hollie was breathtaking...she reminded me of a Disney princess! The wedding and weather were perfect, and everyone had a blast at the reception.

Carra, K10, Sarah, Hollie, and I headed to Hotel Diamond after their rehearsal dinner/fun times at 33 to chill out for a little bit. Hollie looked sooooo adorable in her wedding day shoes that I couldn't wait til' the wedding to snap a photo.

They were just perfect and fit Hollie's personality to a "T"!

Another day, another game! I cannot get enough! My claim to fame for this game was that it was like 30 degrees out and sooooo windy, and i rocked a tank top 'til the 4th inning!!! Unfortunately, the boys could not pull out the "W" and the Reds walked away with it. Cool to see Renteria get his ring though!

Brides, Brides everywhere!

Today was Amber's bridal shower, and boy did she get showered! From gifts for the honeymoon to tons of dishes-there were gifts galore. These were one of my favorite. In between all of the kitchen gear, fun undergarments popped up! What a beautiful day!

One of my saving graces in life is my friends. I am blessed to have a great group of friends from high school (BESTIES Shout-out!), a fabulous group of friends from my Chico days (I call them "The Girls"), awesome sorority sisters (AX or die!), and then I have my Sacramento friends.

I am so lucky to work in a place where I have been accepted as a friend and invited to meet their families and other friends. That's how I joined book club. It is amazing. I have never had more interesting conversations, real-life scenarios discussed, and soul examining sessions as I've had with these ladies....all through the power of a book.

It was my month to choose the book, the location, and time of the meeting. Little Bee, Good Eats, a raint Saturday in East Sac....and it was magnificent! Even though I don't get to see you every week, and may not have told you this-THANK YOU BOOK CLUB! (I hope some of you are reading this!!!)

So my cousin Jenny got us all started on this crazy diet. Well, it's not really a diet, per say, but more of a "making healthy choices for your whole life" plan. It's called GAME ON! You have to do all these healthy things like get 7 hours of sleep, eat 5 small meals a day, not drink, but DO drink 3 liters of water....etc. If you do all these things, you earn points. If you earn the most points, YOU WIN!

For those of you who know me, I am one competetive girl. So I am taking this super seriously. So far, I highly reccomend this. It's fun, it's helping me talk to my family more, and I feel like the pounds are just melting away without me really trying too hard.

This was my first serious GAME ON shopping trip-eat up!

Like I said, BBQ time! K&K hosted yet another great get together...This Memorial Day BBQ was fantastic-a day by the pool, delicious eats, all topped off by "Hangover II" (ehhhhh-by the way). The highlight of the day, however, was the "What was the #1 song on your b-day week?" competition we had-laughing 'til mt stomach hurt. By the way, my song is "Lady" by Kenny Rogers (ehhhhh-again).

BBQ Time!!!

Wasn't the warmest day ever in Chico, but BBQ season is upon us and BBQ we did! Mon's BBQ was a blast-smoked tri-tip, chicken skewers, lotsa sides, beats, and dominoes were the perfect combo sprinkled in with the whole friend group! As the night continued, the fire pit was blazing...someone said, "S'mores," and A.O. was on it! He was to the store and back in a flash and as you can see-we thouroughly enjoyed our S'mores!

After a crazy morning shopping for gifts at Macys, we took off for Chico at 1:30. The weather was great in Sac...as we arrived in Chico-raining. Sitting in Johnnie's all dolled up with 2 great friends having cocktails and apps was the perfect precursor to Pat and Lisi's mainland wedding celebration. After K10 freaked out about the trolley not arriving, we hopped onto the good ol' Chico trolley and headed to The Palms. The venue was awesome...the company was spectacular....the bride-STUNNING! Just look! I feel so grateful to have been included in the celebration!
