Day 53

12/29/10

Weeeellll.....let's just say today was a relaxed kinda day. We hung out at the WII Resort for about 3 hours, played dice, danced to old mixtapes, and puttered around online. This is Joseph's and my MII charactrs. Josph's really looks like him and I'm the hottie in the background-ha!

There are few food items I would give anything for-one of them is biscuits and gravy (or call 'em what you want if you were there that one day at Endzone). The other thing I heart is brunch with friends. Lucky Cafe brought both together as I dined on biscuits and gravy with V-Baby, K-10, and J!!! LOVE!

WE ARE SOOOO OVER CHRISTMAS! Hahahahaha....we always break the tree down VERY shortly after X'mas. One of the things I love is seeing all of the family ornaments....we lay them on the table before wrapping 'em up!

Soooo...for as long as I have ben an adult we have gone "after Christmas shopping" in Walnut Creek. (1st in line at Crate & Barrell 10 years strong-WHAT?) Anyway, I have defibitely appreciated the elegance of Broadway Plaza.....however, a tri-level drinking fountain for dogs too? OVERBOARD!

Day 49

Holidays are all about FAMILY in our family. As much as we eat, shout, call one another out, and argue over board games...it's who WE are. Every family has their thing...those are our "things". I'd say we're doing pretty good. At the root of all of the forementioned "issues" is caring, smiling, admitting mistakes, being real, and a whole lotta love! We had two "new" family members this year-which always spices things up. I think the maximum adult number is 17....at least until we all start having kids, then-so long Pinot Noir christmas, hello cookies and milk for Santa!

We always do Christmas Eve with our neighbors! Surprise for us-SNOW IN JACK LONDON SQUARE! Aaaannndd...what's Christmas without a jumping pic??? What a fun and memorable night!

Quick trip to Chico for our friend, B. Wood's, B-day. Many events took place this night, but Row was creepily good at this shooting game. I love how serious they are in this pic.

You learn something new EVERY day. Today i learned that there are 120 of these containers at the Budweiser factory in Fairfield. Each container holds 50,000 gallons of beer. It's enough to fill 66,000,000 bottles of beer.

This is a Discovery Park. I am obsessed with how flooded it is. All the signs and lightpoles are under water. It's nuts!

Day Forty-four

I really love natural wonders! The lunar eclipse on the Winter Solstice defnitely qualified as one of those! It was really neat to watch, especially when it went an orangish color around midnight- (Go Giants!)

1st Ice Skating experience for Joseph. He did well! However, I go skating once a year if I'm lucky. So it's never a good look when I am one of the top 5 skaters on the ice! Not bragging, just saying....

Day Forty-Three

We had a holiday friends dinner! So FUN! It was a low key night, but I am glad we were able to hang out with our SAC crew (+Steph) before we all go every which way for the holidays. We always end up laughing til' we cry and this night was no different (largely due to 937 photos on Kev and Katie's memory card). The food was all bite-size: mini pizzas, meatballs, pinwheels, spinach dip, veggies, etc.! These are the desserts. I got these little dessert glasses for my birthday and this was my first attempt. They look very pretty, and tasted good, but the candy cane got stuck in my teeth. I'll keep working on it! (Thanks, Jen, for the dessert inspiration!)

Day Forty-Two

There are days where there's just A LOT going on-this was one of them. We started off with an ugly sweater pub crawl for our friend Kevin. I think the walking down the street in large groups looking silly really is the funniest part of these "crawls". Here are some of the guys lookin' festive!

We then continued upto Chico, (cause' Joseph had to work). Our friend Mon was having a "Bad Santa" party. The hecticness of the photo from the kitchen brings several things to mind:

-Good food

-Yummy Drinks

-Entertaining decorations

-Great friends

-Lots of fun

-Holiday Spirit

-How crazy it is when you put all of that in one house!!!

Forty 1

Ummmmm....words cannot express how much this makes me smile! It has THE cutest face! A student gave it to me for Christmas-LOVE! It does this little crazy rocking hyphy-ish dance and sings "Jingle Bells". A video would better show how cute this is....I will get right on that! Go Giants!

Hahaahahahahahahaha! This sign is hee-larious. Dinner with the work family was a blast...this sign was the icing on the cake!

Day 39

Picasa is my friend!!! this picture was rotten---but the idea was cool. I live 11 miles from school...this day it took me 1 hour and 3 minutes to get home. But, at least it gave me time to reflect!!!

Day Thirty-Seven

Wonderful dinner with J! Had never been here before. Delicious Crispy Artichoke Hearts and Sweet Potato Fries!!! Fun atmosphere, original, casual w/ a fancy feel-everything I LOVE in a restaurant! All courtesy of a gift certificate won in a work raffle-AWESOME!
Honestly, the best part of the night was giving the waitress a 21 dollar tip, and she was waaaaaaay happier than I have ever seen a waitress and gen-yew-ine-lee grateful! I highly reccommend tipping someone more than they expect!

UH-OH! Giants Tickets...in December???? YOU KNOW IT! So excited to open the mail and see the tickets.com envelope! Thank you "early ticket sales"!!!

Day 35

Fun! Fun! Fun! With GREAT friends. Champagne, pizza, brunch, and nail-painting Sunday...Perfect END to the weekend!

Day 34

Today was SO FUN! My cousin decided to have her B-day celebration in SAC! All my P. Hill family came to town and I met up with them for a fun day in Old Town and Downtown... from random homeless man yelling at me, to the fart noise-maker Jesse and Sean bought, almost ice-skating, o snow in the mall, to an AMAZING dinner at Firehouse-IT was a GREAT day!!! Happy B-day KIK!

Thirty-Three

One of the things I love most about my school is the emphasis that is placed on the importance of serving the community. Our art teacher discovered this service project where the kids sell these CUTE sheep ornaments for $1.00. Then, the money goes towards buying animals for people in need from Heifer International. A sheep costs $120.00. they are ADORABLE, handmade, and go towards a GREAT cause...let me know if you'd like one.....or 5!

Day 30!!!

My 30th day of 30!!! What better thing to do than celebrate my mom's b-day???? Went home, enjoyed family time, held another Leo photo shoot. This dog is never too impressed with me, or my camera, but I am diggin' the perspective of this shot....and I often actually lay face-to-face with him- just. like. this.

Somewhere around 9 years ago I was in the phase of a relationship where you're just soaking up every detail about the other person. Where you stay up 'til 5 in the morning talking and then drink a redbull cause you've gotta be at work at 5:30 AM. The time where you call and can talk on the phone for an hour, even though you just left each others' sides. Joseph somehow found out that I only liked the pink and red Starbursts. 9 or so years ago he took 2 bags of Starburst-ditched the yellows and oranges and made me a bag of only pink and red. It was a creative and thoughtful treat! this day, in 2010, apparently they sell a bag called FAVEreds. Joseph brought 'em home...still a wonderful treat!

Day 27

This was a night full of Midtown Sac, Vino, Mini Tacos, Vis A Vis pen on sliding glass doors, pouring down rain, a cute scarf, and 30 CRAZY photos! This was the most normal pic that I took, and both my ladies look FAN-Tastic!!! I always have a blast when we're together!

I own about 100+ ornaments. (This is largely due to an ornament, or 3, a year from my Grandmother and Mom) I have continued the tradition. I LOVE this one!

Every month or so I switch up the table decorations. It's just my thing. I was thrilled when yoday I got the table done. I think the IKEA mirrors that I've had packaged up for 2 years finally came in handy! This is Christmas table #1. Stay tuned...

Day Twenty-three

I dread the day I have to cook my own turkeyKatie was a rockstar on her first turkey!!! We had Thanksgiving Round 2, (although it felt like round 6 or 7), on Sunday with another great group of friends!

These are 8 of the reasons I LIVE! As I looked around the table that night, we were all laughing, smiling, and having a blast! Truly thankful for the BESTIES!

Day Nineteen

Golfing after Thansgiving = brilliant. Good job, Dad. I noticed these awesome trees, and Steph had the innovative idea for the Michael Jacksonesque poses. Fun pics!

Day 18

JB and I have the BEST text and chat convos. I'd obviously rather always see her face-to face...but when that's not possible, the other methods of communication suffice. (And are HILARIOUS!) It's not what I would consider a good pic, but it's more about the memory...On Thanksgiving I could've shown the turkey, the games, the family---all were awesome, of course-but this convo. ended my night and left me laughing aloud!

This is my friend, Victoria's cat-Linus. We were chillin', Linus and I, and this picture had a cool perspective! Fun way to kick off the 5-day break: friends, 33, LaSalles, Joseph DJing, and Linus. Word.

Day 16

I texted this to a few people earlier today because it just jumped out at me in class. Seeing as it is the designated "thankful" time of the year, this poster is perfect for my post today! We asked the kids to create "Thankfulness" posters...this was my FAVE! On another note, I wish everyone would be thankful for things/people/events EVERY DAY!

Day Fifteen

YAY!!! Super excited-Gift from Joseph..."Duh-Dun-Dun...The Sun Done...Came up, but we still up in Dungeons..." People seem to go one end of the spectrum or another on her: Love HER---------Can't Stand HER....I choose LOVE!

Day 14(9er)

NINER GAME!!!! We surprised Kev for "Contest"-whatever that is......hahaha. I snuck up to the 10th row and I took like, 400 pics, but this pic makes me smile. Thirty Rocks!

Luckee 13!!!

Today was TOO MUCH AWESOME, (thanks B. Weez and Jen...), I had 2 cups of coffee, walked the dog, played Guitar Hero, and done a photo shoot...all before 8 AM. Then we drove to Chico, stopped in Sac, and were at LOST for the Hooliganz show-love them. Came back to Sac at 4 am...crazy life I lead.
