Joseph's photo booth program on the new Macbook Pro definitely was broken in tonight! We were laughing soooo hard at the silly pics that were taken. Just further proof tonight that technology is AMAZING! I am pretty positive that all the programs on the new com-PUTE will be used for many creative projects.

I love close-up photographs. Though we got zero snow...the frosty morning was calling my name. The crunchety-crunch of the icy grass and freezing cold fingers made for an adventurous ten minute shoot in the yard!

Rainy days make for interesting school days. IT POURED TODAY! Of course, our classrooms are across the playground, and though it's not far...we wer SOAKED after crossing nonetheless. The wet playground and cool clouds were without a doubt my photo for today!

Picked up my bike from when I was in 5th grade from my parents' house yesterday; decided to take her for a spin today! We had a leisurely ride through lovely NAY-Tomas, and stopped at Starbucks for some iced coffees because it was THAT NICE out today!!! Besides the fact that I need a new bike seat (OUCH!), it was a fabulous ride-can't wait to embark on more!

Seriously? People died in that eathquake and it is in the same headline as Justin Bieber's new look? I am continuously amazed at the priorities of people in our world...I must say that I am very proud that I quit buying/reading US magazine and don't watch Access Hollywood type shows. If I could only un-addict myself from all the "Real Housewives" and "Kardashian" shows I'd truly be meeting my ideal of not making the rich and famous richer and more famous.

(ps-I really wanted to write famouser, but the teacher in me would not let it happen)

Woke up from a nap on the way back to Sac and the coolest clouds were just floating up in the sky! I am constantly amazed that those guys are simply formed with water, dust, and the right temperatures! Amazing!

You run into bazillions of people in life. Some stick with you, and others don't. I am soooo lucky to have crossed paths with these lovely ladies and have them choose to stick to me, and me to them! Some of the most memorable times I've had over the past 5 years have involved "The Girls". Tonight we had a girls' dinner and the randomly bar hopped around Chico...sometimes having no plans makes for great times! From a pregnancy pact to Sarah lightin' people up....I will remember this night as great food, awesome conversation, and endless laughs!

I worked about a 58 hour week....so pretty much i saw the moon when i left home and when I got home each night. This was the moon this morning at about 6 am! Wish I had a better camera for this image!

One of my favorite things about my school is our college-going culture. Our ultimate goal is for each and every one of our students to attend and graduate from a 4 year university. All of our kids know the year they will graduate college, we talk about college and our careers on a daily basis, and every year we take EVERY grade level on a college trip-this year's was to UOP! The field lesson was one of the best yet! We went into the physics lab and got all interactive with some bike tires...after a campus tour we learned about admissions, then topped it all off with student athletes coaching PE stations! It was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!!

Battle in the skies-HA! The "HUGE" storm that was supposed to come was actually pretty weak. It made for really interesting cloud formations throughout the day...this one is when the storm was rollin' back in!

I've never been a big fan of Valentine's Day, but this one was great! We were gonna go out, but I just wasn't felling it. I walked through the door of the apartment to all the candles lit, gifts on the sidebar, my favorite champagne, cupcakes, and my favorite salad for dinner! I guess I could handle liking this holiday if they're all like this! (side note-we did not drink the champagne or eat the cupcakes, we fell asleep on the couch after The Bachelor-Now That's LOVE!)

Love this man! Love Sundays! Love K&K! Love Golfing! Made for the PERFECTO day! We played this little 9-hole right in the middle of Land Park. It was fun to be out and play, but also delightful to see all the families having picnics, playing volleyball, and fishing in the pond. I sucked it up on the golf course, but as usual had one or two awesome drives/rips off the fairway. We headed back to the house after for some wonderful BBQ and the Grammys-another fun night with our amigos!

REALLY? You're gonna drill on the playground, then scrape it out during a school day-All day??? REALLY? Needless to say this was very distracting. We're quite lucky no one was hit by any of the extra-large trucks and machines hit any of our kids! We got used to it after a while, just another obstacle to battle for kids attention all day!

WHY I DECIDED TO KEEP TRACK OF MY ACTUAL HOURS-I don't know....but I did. And it was not pretty. I seriously don't mind the 10 hour days...that's normal. When I see those 11s and 12s-JEEZ! And, I didn't even count paper grading and test creating at home-REEDIC! Anyway, it was an eye opener if nothing else.

Choosin' them squares! This was THE best Super Bowl Party!!! Everyone was decked out in their football gear, their was a TV in and outside, and BeAUtIfuL weather!!! K&K's was perfect for this extravaganza....after all the flip cup, trays and trays of food, and roof jumping---I sure hope they'll consider having us all back!

Fanfest 2011! I was so excited to go to this event! 1st off, I feel like a really fake fan because I've never gone to Fanfest before...and I knew this year was going to be a nuthouse.
AND IT WAS!
After only 2 1/2 hours sleep, we woke up at 6:30 and were in the city at Java House having a beer by 8:30 am! We brought our ball, penant, and other items to get signed, but as we walked through the park the 5 mile snaking lines totally changed that plan. Regardless, we had a complete blast and got to see all the players come up and give interviews all day long!

Yeah! Hooliganz show! It'd been a while, so I was THRILLED to head up to Chico for a few hours and sing and dance at LaSalles! After 5...err6...however many years-I still enjoy seeing the homies perform!
