Day Eighty-Four

1/30/2011
No, this is not the besties and I doing the "LUKE: Raise The Roof Dance" in Bodega Bay in 1998!
K&K have this great game, Loaded Questions, that leaves us peeing our pants laughing when we play it. The main reason for this is that the entire game hinges on the thoughts and creativity of the people playing it! Another delicious dinner was practically inhaled, Katie and I solved a VERY technical hot tub issue, we chilled in the dark for a bit, and the fact that we had no TV for the 1st 2 hours opened up a gateway to GREAT conversation! (Although Kev and J were bummed to miss AFV.) I had a hard time choocing between this pic and one of Kev with his new surround sound and wall-mounted TV...but the colors in this pic were too hard to resist!

Day eighty-Three

Saturday 1/29/2011
It's a rare occasion when I actually go out in SAC. Call this Saturday night rare! Monica and Danny were in town so we headed out to good ol' Devere's! I've always labeled myself a bit of a klutz...from running into things, to falling down, and hurting people on accident! We had a blast, but I definitely broke the woman's bathroom sign. OOPS!!!!

1/28/11

Day 82

1/28/2011

SADNESS! I realized that I only have 3 more days of B. Wil due to January coming to an end. (tear) I think this calendar has run it's course as the upcoming months' lineup is Sandoval, Zito, and Boche! Check that, I'm excited-definitely dig Boche!!!

1/27/11

Day eighty-One

1/27/2011

Pic. texted from my sister = DAY BRIGHTENER!
(it was from a couple days ago but I made it my screensaver)

Day 80

1/26/2011
Earring holder from Tomfoolery, garage sale olive server, vase from ???, Eiffel Tower plate from Marshalls, beautiful ballerina from Ross...all used as/converted into jewelry holders...sadly/yay! that's not even 1/2 of it!!!

1/25/11

Day 79

1/25/2011
Holy FOG! This is the norm here in the valley...hahahah, that's just what the weather guys say! Anyway it was doing it's thing outside my classroom today!

Day 78

1/24/2011
WINTER TABLE!

Day 77

Sunday 1/23/2011
It's a beautiful Day in the Neighborhood...lalalalalalaala...it's so fun to be home...just a lot of blue skies, wispy clouds, family time, and laughs! Spring in January is all I could ever ask for!

1/24/11

Day 76

Saturday 1/22/2011

Engagements, engagements EVERYWHERE! Along with our mounting pile of "Save the Dates"....I went to my 1st engagement party of the year! My cousin Sean and Amber, his fiance, celebrated their engagement with all of us! It was a lot of fun to see all the love and support in the air...Congrats guys! (picasaed this one up good!-ha!)

1/22/11

Day 75

1/21/2011
I couldn't pick just one! Bri was in town visiting s0 we all went to an old fav hangout in P. Hill....and craziness, as always, ensued! Topics of conversation, (appropriateness questionable), were definitely discussed loudly in a quiet restaurant. It was like we were the bad kids in a LIBRARY! I'm like, "Come on P. Hill-get it together--it's Friday night in a delicious Mexican food restaurant!"
Anyway, self portrait from an interesting angle of me and Bri. And, this will never be forgotten, Brie started a new trend with her "Navigators."

Day 74

1/19/2011
Brisk yet blue Natomas walk! I thought these trees were planted remarkably straight!

1/20/11

Day 73

1/19/2011
Dive Bar leads you to the idea that you'll be walking into a dark bar, with dingy, sticky floors, and an unplaceable odor.....not THIS DIVE BAR! Really cool vibe, new smell, and an extra large fish tank above the bar made for a fun and entertaining night! That is a real live mermaid in that tank by the way! Very awesome.

Day 72

1/17/2011
Busy freeway day!

Day 71

1/16/2011
Um, yeah, well, this is my new master bedroom! HA! Our entire apartment would fit in here. You can't see it, but this "bedroom" came equipt with a wine fridge, fireplace, sink, spot for a huge TV, don't even get me started on the master bath....I thought a really good deal for 2 mill!

Day Seventy

Saturday
1/15/2011
I have been on more bar crawls in the past 4 months than ever before....they're popular-and I am G.L.A.D!!! Our 1st 31st b-day of the year DID NOT disappoint....downtown Danville didn't know what hit it! Kristi was the life of the party and as always, a blast! Thanks everyone for the great night!

1/14/11

Day 69

1/14/2011
Stopped to "smell the roses" today at sunset in downtown Sac. This bridge looks like it's glowing if you catch it at the perfect time-I almost did...

1/13/11

Day Sixty-Eight

1/13/2011
I'm being super nice when I describe my school as "well-used". When the going gets tough, we get creative! As you can see, books aren't just for reading!!!

Day 67

1/12/2011
I am gonna be in trouble when I have kids. Or, let's just say our house will be in trouble. I just LOVE children's artwork...I wanna put it everywhere! This is a painting one of my students did of a cowboy and an Americn Indian....love it!

Day 66

1/11/2011
Dinner with Joseph's family was great. We caught up with one another, and enjoyed some great pizza at BJ's. As we were waiting for our table (thinking we got stood up, but actually didn't), I looked up and thought that the entry way to the restaurant had quite the ceiling and chandelier....I captured it here!

Day 65

1/10/2011
Monday. Back at work. Frost covered EVERYTHING! It was definitely a winter wonderland feel. The light was perfect as we were walking to breakfast...I had to send a student back to get my camera...thank goodness I did! (I have to admit I enhanced the shadows a bit with Picasa!)

Day Sixty-Four

1/9/2011
Some of our most fun times are spent over at K & K's casa! This night was in the top 5! The boys just would not leave Katie alone about her crock pot chicken chili. After feasting on little pizzas, playing "who can name the most baseball/football/basketball teams", (for the record we also did QBs and I couldn't remember the Mannings or Romo), watching the playoffs, pushing our arms against the door frame, and playing Loaded Questions---the crock pot meal was a wonderful meal with even more wonderful friends!

Day Sixty-Three

1/8/2011
If you know me, and especially if you've ever eaten The Bell with me....YOU KNOW how much I need this sauce! We told the guy I needed "a ton" and he really came through!

1/8/11

Day 62

1/7/2011

I call this one: "Girl at Home Alone's Dinner"! I had a long week back at work, and I had NO desire to eat, nothing at home that would go together-(except chicken and I will not touch raw meat), and nothing sounded good. After a quick trip to Raley's I came home with frozen potstickers (blek), P.F. Chang's frozen orange chicken (not as good as I would have liked), and a bottle of Renwood Zin (deelish)!

1/7/11

Day 61

1/6/2011
I, obviously, did not take this picture. However, super exciting day in my life, so here it is! The trophy for the WORLD CHAMPION SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS!!! It was so shiny and sparkly and I wanted to steal it-but there were 18 bazillion photographers and a ton of security guards there-HA! Anyway, can't wait to see the professional photo!!! Let's go Giants! (clap*clap*clap*clap*clap)

1/5/11

Day SixtAY

1/5/2011
Ohhhhh, to be a pair of shoes-but NO, I could NEVER choose just one pair! My shoes are like me-each pair is a different side of my personality. The red 4 1/2-inch Guess heels are for Sassy Stacy, the Jessica Simpson strappy/crazy/overlapping heels are definietly for Stacerella, the Khaki/Camel brown heels scream "work".
These Steve Maddens, these are just me to a "T". (I do not get that saying by the way.) They are sleek, 4 inch wedges, with cozy looking quilting on the heel, the perfect amount of peep-toe, a curvy band at the toes, with an "almost-a-bow-but-not-one" knot.
They are a little dirty, worn thin, and rough around the edges now---nut HEY! Aren't we all??? I would rock heels every day like 23-27 year old me used to, but 30 year old 10+ hour-a-day-working-Stac just can't. I wore them today though, and remembered just why I bought them in the first place back in '06! Wish I'd bought 2 pair!!!

Day Fifty-9

1/4/2011
Some folks play "Words w/ Friends" on their I-phones. Some peeps play "WordFeud" on their Androids. K-10 and I are old school and enjoy a nice old fashioned game of Scrabble. Tonight Katie joined us and let's just say she pretty much killed us. I'd definitely play with her again though---I can take it! (p.s.-the words are pretty lame)

Day Fifty-Eight

1/3/2011

I had to throw up a pic of my NEW YEARS table! Taking it down shortly, so needed to eternalize it on the old blog. People have actually even eaten at this table-proof it's not just for looks!

Day 57

1/2/2011
Thank goodness for our friend Sana! Thanks to him I have been introduced to so many fun and interesting aspects of the Lao culture. This was my second encounter with the monks, and I LOVE THESE GUYS! They are so serious with their captivating chants one minute...and then the next second Sana's busted out the helicopters and they're like 6 year olds! Plus, Sana's family is really fun and entertaining so that's an added bonus! Thanks for involving me again Sana-it's always a treat for me!

1/3/11

Day 56

1/1/11

There are choices that you make in life-some big, some small. You can not do something, and possibly miss a really cool experience. I am constantly paranoid about missing out. Even when I'm tired, or don't really want to do something, I'll do it 'cause I don't wanna miss out! I am soooo glad I decided to go out and see Joseph DJ at Quackers this night! Sometime around midnight, a chick pulled fireballs out of her trunk, lit them up, and started twirling them in the parking lot! Amazing!!!!

Day 55

12/31/2010
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Among the confetti, shouting, and champagne a few GREAT pics came out of this night. We spent NYE with a lot of our GREAT Chico homies (+ a Bay and a Sac homie)! These 2 guys have become serious partners in crime and endless entertainment for anyone who's around them! This is from the beginning of the night and I think it captures the "let's do this" attitude we went out with this night!

Day 54

12/30/2010
This was the night that Victoria and I actually took the time and looked at the SECRET MENU for In-N-Out. I am a plain-Jane eater, here's my lovely meal! Just for the record I had In-N-Out again for my 1st meal of 2011. Go Stac!
