As we left Chico, after a long day of lounging with friends watching football, the sun was peeking through the clouds in an awesome way. I pulled off 99 to catch this beautiful moment in a rice patty field. It was silent, peaceful, breathtaking...
11/7/11
Day 363

What a wonderful wedding! Our friends Jolene and Justin got married in Chico today. It was pouring for the outdoor ceremony. If there's anyone who this could have happened to and they be okay with it-it's jolene. She is a go with the flow girl who maintains a positive outlook! They just "swoop!" moved the ceremony indoors and it worked out fine! The wedding was pretty memorable too with a photobooth, funfetti cake, tables full of friends, dancing-dancing-dancing, and even a game of flip cup along the cleared-off buffet table! They were beautiful, as you can see, and fun was had by all!
Day 362
11/4/11
We all headed up to Placerville, stopped at Mel's for a quick dinner, and then continued up to El Dorado High School to watch my cousin, Chris, KILL IT in his last regular season HS game. Luckily, since they won, they'll be in the playoffs and we'll get to see him play again! This was our first taste of freezing weather....all our phone apps said 46 degrees....NO WAY! Definitely in the thirties!
Day 361
Halloween decor came down and Thanksgiving is up! I definitely need to step my Fall/Thanksgiving decoration game up! I've got the sidebar done and the table-and THAT'S IT! Will definietly work on this for next year.
Day 360
Well, we needed to find a place for TuPac, or "JimmerPac" if you're Joseph. As much as I knew how badly Joseph wanted it, it's just not in the cards for a 1 BR apartment. Plus, I am really anal about having animal hair on me (unless it's Leo's or Stewie's...those two don't bug me). I whipped these up after work and Joseph posted them up around the complex...hopefully something will come from them...we'll see! In the meantime, joseph has a new BFF.
11/4/11
Day 359
AWESOME DATE! 5 Days left of this BLOG! What am I gonna do on Thursdays without this lovely blog????
Anyway, super cool sunset tonight-YAY November!
Day 358
"BABE! A huge squirrel just fell out of the tree," I yelled today. Low and behold, it was this little clumsy kitty. I have since named him/her TuPac cause he/she got in a SUPER GANGSTER FIGHT with another cat the next morning. We're not sure what we're doing with it at this point....I am super not for cats in a one BR apt. though! Called and googled all these Sac animal shelters, etc. What to do-OY!
11/3/11
Day 357
"Finished Product" at our Tahoe Home.
Pretty sure a few more were added...most legit beeramid we've ever had in Tahoe though for sure! What a fun weekend!
Day 356
Intergallactic-Planetary-Intergallactic-Intergallactic!
A month ago when Katie said she wanted to do these Martha Stewart costumes....I never would have thought they'd work. A lot of hard work and some creativity by the boys yeilded these awesome costumes! Homemade is better than store-bought 98.6% of the time! Plus, this costume gave us free-license to do the robot as much as we wanted. I had it on lock-super serious style---at Cabo Wabo, until Katie came up next to me I lost my seriousness----HILARIOUS NIGHT! I'm Goin' to SF to make some MONEY!
Day 354
With how busy we've been, I didn't think this would happen. Marvel's pumpkin rocks as well as the shout out to his last year's costume-YAY Jacl Skellington!
Day Three-5-Three
It's very rare when Joseph loves a commercial...he generally hates any interruptions to his sports (don't we all?)
Anyway, he forced me to try and pause this commercial at the "best" part....this is one of the many reasons why I love this man.,...he knows how much joy I derive from cute babies doing adorable things and goes out of his way to show me it!
Day 352
THRIFY TOWN! J and I make it here pretty much only when we nwwd a costume for something-and it NEVER dissappoints....warewolf costume and granny are complete. the peeps here never fail to amaze me either---classic DPH!
10/25/11
Day 351
Sooooo, about a month ago Katie and I joined a couple wine clubs. I've wanted to join the "Bogle Bandwagon" for sometime....Joseph and I drove out to pick up our first wine club bottles-YAY Bogle! I just love our Sac Area Wineries-soooo down to Earth and FUN!
Day 350
Shopping at 5 different locations! Spray Paint HIGH! Arthritis in our hands! This costume is taking work! Costume construction Day 1 was a success. Hopefully the costume comes together....
Day 349

Saturday 10/22/2011
Annie's babay shower....SO EXCITED FOR BABY HAGGLUND aka HUMBERTA!!! Annie and Brian are due near New Years and to celebrate we all headed to her shower. Best. Games. Ever. Champagne in a bottle CHUG. Baby charades with Bean-O. Crossing your legs game. It was a blast! It was a wonderful celebration of the life that'll soon be joining us! I am very excited! Afterwards we kept the party going at Annie and Brian's with the stump game, and then written telephone. (I just named that-it doesn't have a name...)
Day 348
Kat's going away party...so fun. She transferred back to her hometown for a different position in the same company! They rented out 3 Fires Lounge and Joseph DJed...he was AWESOME! This pic is of Kev and Kat and more work homies...just thought it embodied the spirit of the night= friends, fun, and craziness!
Day 347

FIELD LESSON DAY! We headed downtown for an IMAX adventure and a little scavenger hunt in the Capitol. A student's parent had VIP access to the State Assembly floor, and she took all of us. The kids and adults got a special Q&A, along with getting to sit in a special area-so cool!
Day 346
Yaaaay!!!! FINALLY got the Halloween decorations up in the house. I definitely need to upgrade my decor...but it's not in the budget this year....NEXT for sure!
Love this Halloween/Disney combo!
10/20/11
Day 345
Would you wanna walk into this classroom at 5:30? 6 am? 6:30 am? Do it everyday. scare the crap outta myself once a week. Dang stray cats get me at least once every couple weeks. But hey-you gotta pay to play! A little fear conquering, (yes I am scared of the dark), is nothing when I know I am there for a good reason-my students.
Day 343
Sunday 10/16/2011
"BEST BAAAAABY SHOOOWEEER EVVEERRRR!" -Joseph
And, I'd have to agree. This tailgate themed, co-ed, shower was so fun. Between the awesome 49er game, 9er beer pong, tailgate food, everyone's 9er attire, the puppies, the 1/2 time baby-bottle-boat races, and awesome present opening comments, included, but not limited to- "Wow. A duck blanket"-this shower was fun. The only thing missing? Pictures of Mama Leche. How did that happen?
Day 342
JARED*IS*2!
What a fun day...Celebrating the most adorable boy, Besties, and cake! YAY! On Jared's 1st B-day he 2-forked it and he did NOT disappoint on B-day #2! I literally sat next to him all day just to see how cute he'd be. Love him.
Day 341
Miss Lynn's on the playground! Every Friday, we have a "Fun Friday" where the kids just get to go outside and play. It's lame, but they love it. Today I decided to join in the play! This teeter-totter is awesome! And it was fun to hang out in a different way with my kiddos!
Day 340
Em has run a marathon. Had a baby, (James, who I am in love with), then made it her goal to run a half just over a year later-AMAZING!
When she ran the full, it was my 1st year at PS7. I barely knew her. I had her old students though and thought it was crazy awesome to run 26.1 miles. We made her a poster.
4 years later....I tought, let's do it again. Among the 53 messages on the poster-this was the best!!!
Day 339
From weddings last year to BABUES this year! So glad that I have girlfriends to live vicariously through until it's my turn! The Pooh invite is for Jared's 2 year b-day, the thank-you from Sarah's shower, and the invite to Annie's baby shower-LOVE THEM ALL!
Day 338
Day 337

Some days are just not good pic days. that's where O.P.I. comes in. I could NOT believe I have so many bottles. I added up close to 200 bucks in O.P.I. W.O.W.
A couple were gifts (2 to be exact) but still....good thing I do my own nails...that's the only way I can justify this situation.
Day 3+3=6
Literally slept the day away at K&K's. Got home, realized I had spent a week with the extra baby shower flowers in these AWESOME vases from my Gramms. Just another great reminder of a great lady.
Day 335

Saturday, October 8th
Only one month of 30 left....Today was all about:
A-A-A- X-X-X!!!
This was my 1st year not being on the Exec. board in 8 years...and I have to say it was nice. I still helped out, but to just sit in the meeting and listen and have fun and not stress was a beautiful thing! The day was filled with laughs, pictures, and memories-from the 60s to the 80s to current actives..these ladies all AMAZE me!
On a side note, Chico state has made some major changes to the campus...glad I took a tour with Cyndi and Lyndie...It was a reminder that things sure do change, but most things are still the same at heart!
Day 334
Joseph and I decided to stay home because I had A TON of work to do. The second I got my work done we decided it was GAME TIME! We played all our usuals-thousands, 1-4-24, and then, after beer...switched to P-P-P-P-P-P-Peach Brandy! Threw the cheetah in the pic just because!
10/7/11
Day 333-YAY triple #s!

Thurs. October 6th, 2011
Impromptu Sonoma trip to visit K10! I got to see her cute little Mayberry-type school, and we had dinner at Hopmonk Tavern in downtown Sonoma-so cute! I stopped to grab a pic at Nicholsen Ranch-one of my faves in Sonoma...I don't know how K10 doesn't stop to wine taste every day on the drive home.
Day 331
Best. Boyfriend. Ever. he went grocery shopping and as cute as can be bought me one piece of fruit for each day left in the week. He is so great about thinking of me when he's out and about. LOVE J.
Day 330
I have been missing my Gramms a lot lately. Her b-day was a week and a half ago....so I've definitely been reminiscing. She bought me all these kitchen fairies, which J has been gracious enough to let me have up in our house. This is my fave. Kitchen Fairy + USA = FAVE!
Day 329
Went home for a Besties Brunch at Ilana's casa! Sooo fun to catch up! Afterwards, I headed home to the P-Dogg's house for a BBQ. My dad was hooked on this plank steak business. Quote of the night: "No rub, no grub-Gotta taste the wood." Eh-hem....Anyway, needless to say, as you can tell from the smoke and squirt bottle, the planks caught on fire. Good try Pops! We ended up still having a great "regular steak" meal. I love HOME!
Day 327
Joseph, fortunately got out of DJing 33 for a few weeks, so we decided to have a night in! We got some 49er Bud Light and play games...dominayted thousands, but J got me at 1-4-24!!! Then, I found the cheetah and we discovered that we had P-P-P-P-P-Peach Brandy! The game was def elevated adn Joseph and I had an all around great night!
Day 326
Staceph takes Downtown Sac. We headed out tonight with no plan-and had a BLAST! Despite getting asked for change about 1500 times; We hit up 2 divey-dives and talked to some interesting folks...@ Chambers and Pre-Flite! we just kind of walked around getting lost for quite a bit of the night-probably walked like 3 miles....decided to call it quits and get some In N Out and go to bed.
Day 323
My new favorite hobby is taking candids of people in the stands at the Giants' games. This was a sad game, cause it was the last of the season for us, but the people were AH-Mazing! Not only did we have TWO baby giraffes in our section, but we had plenty of dancing fools, and the WAVE. I have been to a ton of games at AT&T and I have seen the wave attempted several times. It NEVER happens. It's just not the thing to do-I guess a lot of people were hammered cause the season was over, the season ticket holders sold their seats to fake fans, or everyone was on crack....cause that wave went around like, 7 times. I was dying laughing the ENTIRE time-the only reaon I stood up at all was to get a flick of those fools doing the wave. It was a good, bittersweet, last game-BRING ON SPRING TRAINING!
Day 322
A quick wine tasting trip to Bogle turned into a wine tasting extravaganza! We hit up Clarksburg; went to Bogle, Old Sugar Mill, and then a BRAND NEW one called Miner's Leap. Further surprises led up to an up close view of 3 Winery's CRUSH! Awesome! The day concluded with Mexican Food, AFV, and meeting Stewart-K&K's new kitten. Oh! Not to mention we brought home 16 bottles of wine and Katie and I joined 2 wine clubs-SUCCESS!
Day 321
Shopping...shopping...and more SHOPPING! K10 and I had so much fun going to Walmart, ROSS, another Ross, Marshalls, Kohls, Michaels...and more! We were shopping for Sarah's baby shower-which is so exciting because she's the 1st of the girls to have a bun in the oven. All of us got together to throw the shower and K10 and I just had a bunch of things we still needed to do! If you know us, you know we had a blast doing it! We finished off the night with ooks and Sunny-D mimosas-NO JOKE!
9/30/11
Day 318
When you're a teacher you have regular old days, amazing days, and DAYS (said in a deep highly emphasized tone)!!! (That's what I call those ones that make me wanna scream...)
Today was a DAY. But one of my students, Z, brought me this adorable bracelet. I LOVE it! It made my whole day....
9/22/11
Day 317
Wanted to "pretty-up" the house. Bought some lavender flowers with some spriggy orange ones, separate you wouldn't think they'd go together, threw them together and....joila! New centerpiece!
Day 316
Day 315

Sunday, September 18th
Last day in CO. So sad. We got a late start, so, instead of eating an awesome breakfast as planned, we headed to the game! Today was all about exploring Coors Field. While nothing can beat AT&T's views and atmosphere, I was DIGGING on Coors Field. It has 3 restaurants, one of which we chilled in for 2 innings, a spot to see straight down into the bullpen (WILSON!), and the Rockpile (where our tickets were-waaaaay up in Heaven). Plus, seats were empty so we upgraded for 3 innings, then headed up to the 3rd deck to take our pic at the "Mile High line". I love the baseball+sister+boyfriend+awesome stadium+beer combo we had going on. Just wish I could've added brother, mom, Leo, and dad. The last pic is the sun setting from the airport-sigh.
